The premises located at Yrittäjänkatu 11 have a new owner. On Monday 6 September 2021, Wasa NNT-Invest Ltd Oy, which is owned by Stefan Träskelin’s family, bought the entire share capital of KOy Producta II Vaasa. The seller was VP Facilities Oy Ab. The sale price will not be published.
“I am satisfied with the transaction of this well-functioning property that is in good repair and I look forward to collaborating with the user, The Switch Engineering company. It is our goal to continue investing in Vaasa due, for example, to everything we have heard recently about the GigaVaasa area. At the moment, we already have dozens of listed companies renting our properties in this region,” Stefan Träskelin says.
The property consists of industrial premises that are slightly more than 5,000 m² in total size, as well as offices. The building was completed in 2008. The property’s location along the oversized transport route of the Vaasa Airport business park is excellent.
“The factory was designed and custom-built for The Switch Engineering by Vaasa Parks and was the result of extensive collaboration. That was because a little over ten years ago, The Switch Engineering was just a start-up,” says Ulla Mäki-Lohiluoma, who has been the CEO of Vaasa Parks Oy Ab and, after the total demerger, also of VP Facilities Oy, ever since the companies began their operations proper.
Over the years, the company has become an important part of the EnergyVaasa community and an expert that produces new energy technology solutions. The fact that the Japanese Yaskawa wanted to include the company’s operations in its own range of expertise a few years ago is proof of this.
“Selling the building to a familiar partner operating in the same region was a good and natural solution also in terms of VP Facilities’ basic strategy,” Mäki-Lohiluoma continues.
