Financial and payroll administration services are not necessarily tied to a location. However, in the everyday life of a growth company, good spatial planning solutions are worth their weight in gold, says Niina Asujamaa, CEO of Viicon Oy, Vaasa.
“Viicon was founded in 2009 and at first we had just a few employees. Today, we employ about thirty professionals at our Vaasa office, which means that the demands on the premises are great.”
Asujamaa explains that Viicon’s first offices were located in the Futura I building. From there, they moved to larger premises in Futura III, where the company first occupied a smaller area than it does today. Viicon now has the entire fourth floor of the wing on the Yrittäjäkatu side all to itself.
“We were able to move to bigger premises but didn’t have to occupy the whole floor all at once. We had some partition walls built, which resulted in a suitable sized office for us, and as our company has grown the office has grown with us.”
Viicon values Vaasa Parks particularly for its flexibility. The spatial needs of a growth company can change very quickly, and that’s when an agile partner offering premises is valuable beyond measure.
“Any alteration work we have needed has always been carried out to our specifications, and the schedules have been arranged to meet our needs. We have also benefitted greatly from the areas in joint use in the building, such as the conference rooms. Although we have two meeting rooms in our premises, they are sometimes both taken. That’s when the rental facilities come in handy,” Asujamaa says.
Many of Viicon’s employees live in Laihia, Vähäkyrö or Tervajoki, and for them this location in Runsor means a shorter commute. The employees in the company’s branch offices in Tampere and Jurva also benefit from the location.
Viicon’s premises in Futura III are just right for the company’s needs right now and there’s a little room for growth too.
“At our rate of growth, we will have to start asking Ulla Mäki-Lohiluoma at Vaasa Parks for ideas for the future!”
